2012 Spay A Stray Campaign
Last year, in 2011 thousands of cats were euthanized in the New Hanover, Pender and Brunswick County areas because they could not find a home.
So, this year in 2012 Adopt-An-ANGEL has already spent over $25,0000 spaying and neutering as many cats as possible. Why? To prevent the births of hundreds of unwanted kittens this summer that flood these already overcrowded animal controls.
We spent $17,500 in 2011 because we believe that spaying/neutering is the other half of the answer to animal homelessness.
We must REDUCE THE SUPPLY through spaying and neutering while WE INCREASE DEMAND through aggressive adoptions.
Each Spay/Rabies shot costs the organization $65. For every $65 that comes in we will put out another voucher. Each spay will PREVENT the birth of another 4-6 homeless kittens. Adopt an ANGEL has kicked in the first $5,000 to SPAY as many cats as we can! Won't you help us FIX MORE for an even greater impact? Where There's a Will, There's A Spay! It's very simple! Guidelines for Vouchers:
1. You must be a resident of New Hanover, Brunswick or Pender County--proof will be required to receive any vouchers.
2. Vouchers are good only at Cape Fear Spay Neuter Clinic in Castle Hayne.
3. This is only open to female cats--limit 1 per family.
4. Cats can be personal pets, loosely owned or strays. (Cats must be friendly--it is not open to feral cats at this time).
5. Adopt-An-ANGEL will only pay for a spay and a rabies shot and will not pay for any complications that may occur during surgery.
6. Vouchers are distributed on a first come first serve basis at Pet Supermarket on Oleander Dr. beginning 01/15/12
